Getting Ready for Your Squee:gee Visit

Before we arrive

• A little preparation helps us get straight into the clean.

• You have booked the Squee:gee team. We will bring the equipment, cleaning products and everything we need to do the work.

• There are just a few things we need from you before we arrive.

• The exact preparation depends on whether you have booked Window Cleaning, House Washing, Pressure Washing, or a combination of services.

When you book

• Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive the service details through ServiceM8.

• Before the visit, we will send the information you need for the service you have booked.

• On the day, you will also receive a message when the Squee:gee team is on the way.

Do I need to be home?

Exterior Window Cleaning

• Usually not.

• As long as we have safe access around the outside of your home, exterior-only Window Cleaning can generally be completed without you being there.

• Please make sure any gates are unlocked and that we can reach the windows being cleaned.

Interior & Exterior Window Cleaning

• We will need access inside your home while the interior windows are being cleaned.

• You are welcome to stay home, or head out once the inside work is complete, provided we still have access to the exterior.

House Washing

• You generally do not need to be home for a House Wash.

• We need clear access around the exterior and the preparation below completed before the team arrives.

Pressure Washing

• You generally do not need to be home, provided the areas being cleaned are accessible and have been cleared as required.

Getting ready for Window Cleaning

• Clear access to the windows

• Make sure we can comfortably reach the windows being cleaned.

• Outside, this includes side paths, backyards, gates and any other access points around the home.

• Inside, please provide a reasonable clear path to the windows.

• Clear the window sills

• Please remove fragile, valuable or breakable items from window sills before we arrive.

• For an Interior & Exterior Window Clean, this helps us work around the window without putting your belongings at unnecessary risk.

• Furniture and window coverings

• Where practical, move furniture that completely blocks access to the window.

• You do not need to empty the room. We simply need enough space to safely work.

• Curtains and blinds can usually remain in place unless they prevent us from reaching the glass or tracks.

• Pets

  • Please keep pets somewhere safe while the team is working inside or around the property.

  • If there is something we should know about your pet or access to a particular area, let us know before the visit.

Getting ready for House Washing

• Close your windows and doors

• Please make sure all windows and exterior doors are properly closed before we begin.

• This includes windows in rooms you may not regularly use.

• Bring the washing inside

• Please remove laundry from exterior washing lines before the team arrives.

• Clear the areas around the house

• Move movable items away from the exterior where practical.

• This may include:

  • Outdoor furniture

  • Barbecues

  • Pot plants

  • Toys

  • Outdoor cushions

  • Decorative items

  • Anything fragile or valuable

• We do not expect you to move large or impractical items on your own. If something cannot reasonably be moved, let us know.

• Give us access

  • Make sure gates and paths around the home are accessible.

  • If there are locked areas, restricted access points or anything unusual about getting around the property, tell us beforehand.

• Pets

  • Keep pets safely inside or away from the areas being washed.

  • House Washing uses cleaning equipment, hoses and cleaning solution around the exterior, so pets need to remain clear of the working area.

• Let us know about anything delicate

• Tell us before the visit about:

  • Known leaks

  • Damaged or deteriorating exterior surfaces

  • Specialist finishes or coatings

  • Areas of concern

  • Fragile plants or landscaping

  • Anything else you think the team should know about

  • That helps us plan the appropriate approach before cleaning begins.

Getting ready for Pressure Washing

• Clear the surface

• Vehicles, outdoor furniture, bins, pot plants, toys and other movable items should be removed from driveways, paths, patios or courtyards being cleaned.

• The clearer the surface, the more efficiently we can work across it.

• Keep surrounding areas accessible

• We need enough room to safely operate the equipment and hoses around the area being cleaned.

• Tell us about any concerns

  • If the surface has cracks, damaged coatings, loose paving or another condition we should know about, tell us before the service.

  • Pressure Washing is about using the right amount of pressure for the surface, so condition matters.

• What about plants?

  • Plants and surrounding landscaping are considered as part of our House Washing preparation.

  • Where Soft Washing is being carried out, we take appropriate precautions around vegetation, including wetting and rinsing plants as part of the process.

  • If you have particularly delicate, recently planted or important vegetation close to the home, please tell us before the visit so the team knows to pay particular attention to it.

What about water and power?

• For House Washing and Pressure Washing, we use the property's exterior water supply to feed our equipment.

• Please make sure an accessible outdoor tap is available.

• You do not need to provide hoses, pumps or cleaning products. We bring our own equipment.

Weather

• A little Auckland weather does not automatically mean the job cannot go ahead.

• Different services can be affected differently by rain, wind and other conditions.

• If the weather means we cannot complete your booked work safely or properly, we will contact you and confirm the next step.

• You do not need to make that call yourself.

After the clean

• Once the work is complete, your invoice will be sent through ServiceM8.

• If something about the completed service needs attention, let us know. We will review it and take responsibility for the next step.
