TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms of Service for Squee:gee

‍1. Introduction

‍These Terms of Service apply to services provided by OneMan Property Services Limited, trading as Squee:gee ("Squee:gee", "we", "us", "our") to our customers ("you", "your").

‍By booking, approving a quote for, or allowing us to commence a service, you agree to these Terms.

Squee:gee provides Window Cleaning, House Washing using Soft Washing methods, Pressure Washing and related exterior cleaning services.

2. Our services

The services we provide may include:‍

  • Interior and exterior Window Cleaning

  • Exterior-only Window Cleaning

  • House Washing using Soft Washing methods

  • Pressure Washing of suitable hard exterior surfaces

  • Other exterior cleaning services agreed with you before work begins

The service included in your booking or quotation is the service we have agreed to provide. Areas or services not included in the confirmed booking are not automatically included.

Different surfaces require different cleaning methods. Squee:gee determines the appropriate method based on the surface, condition, access and nature of the work.

3. Booking and confirmation

Bookings are generally made through our online booking system powered by ServiceM8, or otherwise agreed directly with Squee:gee.‍

Your booking confirmation or quote will outline the service requested, property details, date or expected timing and relevant pricing information.‍

Some properties or services may require photographs, additional information or further assessment before the booking and final price can be confirmed.‍

If information provided during booking is materially different from the property or work we find on arrival, we may need to amend the service, price or timing before continuing.‍

We will explain any material change and seek your approval before completing additional chargeable work.‍

4. Pricing

‍Published residential pricing on our website is inclusive of GST.‍

Our standard pricing applies to properties and work that fall within the conditions described on the Squee:gee website and booking system.‍

Additional pricing may apply where a property has requirements outside the standard service, including:‍

  • Unusually large quantities of glass

  • French panes or extensive glass balustrades

  • Difficult, restricted or unsafe access

  • Multiple levels or unusual building design

  • Specialist, fragile or deteriorated surfaces

  • Heavy or specialist residue

  • Additional areas not included in the original booking

  • Other conditions that materially change the work required‍

Where practicable, any change to the expected price will be confirmed with you before the additional work proceeds.‍

Quoted work will be charged according to the accepted quotation unless an agreed change is made to the scope.‍

5. Payment

Invoices are issued following completion of the service and are due within 7 days, unless otherwise agreed in writing.‍

Payment may be made using the methods shown on the invoice, including bank transfer or credit card.‍

Any applicable payment-processing or card fees will be displayed through the relevant payment method.‍

Squee:gee is a cashless business unless otherwise agreed.‍

Window Cleaning‍

6. Window Cleaning scope‍

The inclusions depend on the Window Cleaning service selected.‍

A standard Interior & Exterior Window Clean may include:‍

  • Interior and exterior glass

  • Frames and sills

  • Window tracks

  • Accessible cobweb removal

  • Traditional or pure-water cleaning depending on the window and access‍

A standard Exterior Only Window Clean may include:‍

  • Exterior glass

  • Exterior frames and sills

  • Accessible cobweb removal

  • Pure-water cleaning where appropriate

  • High exterior windows that can be safely reached using our equipment‍

Unless specifically included in your booking, additional glass areas such as extensive balustrades, pergola glass, specialist skylights, sunrooms or other unusual glazing may require additional pricing.‍

7. Window Cleaning methods and access‍

Squee:gee uses the cleaning method we consider appropriate for the particular window, which may include traditional Window Cleaning or pure-water water-fed pole systems.‍

Our water-fed pole equipment allows many high exterior windows to be cleaned from ground level.‍

We will make reasonable efforts to clean hard-to-reach windows but will not undertake work where access cannot be achieved safely or where doing so would compromise health and safety requirements.‍

8. Existing glass condition‍

Window Cleaning removes dirt and build-up from the surface of the glass. It cannot repair or reverse existing damage.‍

Examples include:‍

  • Scratches

  • Hard-water or mineral etching

  • Permanent staining

  • Failed glazing seals

  • Damaged coatings or films

  • Existing deterioration or defects‍

Cleaning may make pre-existing damage or imperfections more visible once surface dirt has been removed.‍

Squee:gee is not responsible for pre-existing damage or defects that were not caused by our work.‍

House Washing and Soft Washing‍

9. House Washing scope‍

Squee:gee House Washing uses Soft Washing methods for appropriate exterior surfaces.‍

The exact areas included are those specified in your booking or quotation.‍

A standard House Wash may include appropriate:‍

  • Exterior cladding

  • Eaves

  • Exterior architectural details

  • Exterior surfaces included in the confirmed service

‍Every Squee:gee House Wash includes a full exterior Window Clean as standard, including exterior glass, frames and sills, subject to access and any specific exclusions agreed before the service.‍

The Window Clean is a separate finishing process and is not simply the rinse used during House Washing.‍

10. Soft Washing process and cleaning solutions‍

Soft Washing uses lower water pressure together with cleaning solutions to loosen and remove dirt, mould, algae and other organic build-up.‍

Our current Soft Washing process may use sodium hypochlorite together with a house-wash surfactant.‍

Cleaning strength and application may be adjusted according to the surface, condition and level of build-up.‍

Some surfaces, coatings, finishes or materials may respond differently to cleaning solutions, particularly where they are aged, deteriorated, incorrectly applied or otherwise compromised.‍

Customers must tell us before work begins about known fragile surfaces, unusual coatings, previous damage or other conditions that may affect cleaning.‍

11. Plants and surrounding property‍

Squee:gee takes appropriate precautions around plants and surrounding areas when carrying out House Washing.‍

These may include wetting, rinsing or otherwise protecting vegetation during the cleaning process.‍

Customers are responsible for telling us about particularly sensitive, valuable or recently planted vegetation, unusual landscaping or anything else that may require special attention.‍

12. Cedar‍

Squee:gee does not provide standard House Washing for cedar homes.‍

Cedar requires specialist cleaning and maintenance considerations. If the exterior material is uncertain, please tell us before booking so suitability can be assessed.‍

Pressure Washing‍

13. Pressure Washing scope‍

Pressure Washing is intended for suitable hard exterior surfaces, which may include:‍

  • Concrete driveways

  • Paths

  • Patios

  • Courtyards

  • Appropriate paving

  • Appropriate masonry

  • Other surfaces assessed by Squee:gee as suitable‍

Not every exterior surface is suitable for Pressure Washing.‍

Squee:gee determines the amount of pressure and cleaning approach appropriate to the material and condition.‍

14. Existing surface condition‍

Pressure Washing can remove surface dirt, grime and organic build-up, but it cannot repair existing deterioration or permanent damage.‍

Pre-existing conditions may include:‍

  • Cracked or deteriorated concrete

  • Loose paving

  • Failing coatings

  • Existing surface erosion

  • Permanent staining

  • Damaged grout or joints

  • Existing structural or construction defects‍

Cleaning may make pre-existing wear or damage more visible once surface build-up has been removed.‍

Squee:gee is not responsible for damage arising from an existing defect, unsuitable construction, deterioration or a condition that was not caused by our work.‍

Customer responsibilities‍

15. Property access and preparation‍

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to all areas included in the booked service.‍

Depending on the service, this may include:‍

  • Unlocking gates and access areas

  • Closing windows and doors

  • Moving vehicles from Pressure Washing areas

  • Removing laundry from exterior clotheslines

  • Moving fragile, valuable or movable items away from work areas

  • Clearing window sills for Interior Window Cleaning

  • Providing reasonable access around furniture

  • Securing pets

  • Providing access to an exterior water supply where required

  • Telling us about alarms, access restrictions or other relevant property conditions‍

Preparation guidance may also be provided before your appointment.‍

If we cannot safely or reasonably access an area because preparation has not been completed, we may be unable to complete that part of the service.‍

16. Disclosure of existing conditions‍

You must tell us about any condition that could reasonably affect how the work should be performed, including known:‍

  • Damage

  • Leaks

  • Fragile materials

  • Deteriorating finishes

  • Specialist coatings

  • Window films

  • Faulty seals

  • Loose fittings

  • Electrical concerns

  • Sensitive landscaping

  • Other unusual property conditions‍

Squee:gee is not responsible for loss or damage arising from a relevant condition that could not reasonably have been identified and was not disclosed before the service.‍

Changes, cancellations and weather‍

17. Cancellations and rescheduling‍

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled service.‍

Late cancellations or rescheduling may incur a fee.‍

Squee:gee may reschedule or change the timing of work because of weather, unsafe conditions, equipment issues, access problems or other circumstances that prevent the work from being completed appropriately.‍

We will contact you if this occurs.‍

18. Weather‍

Rain does not automatically prevent Window Cleaning, House Washing or Pressure Washing.‍

We determine whether weather conditions are suitable based on the service being completed, property conditions and safety requirements.‍

If we consider the conditions unsuitable for the planned work, we may postpone or reschedule the service and will contact you about the next step.

Service concerns and responsibility

19. If something needs attention

Squee:gee aims to complete every service to the agreed scope and standard.

If you believe something about the completed work needs attention, please contact us within 48 hours of completion and provide enough information for us to review the concern.

Where appropriate, we may ask for photographs or arrange to inspect the work.

If we determine that something within the agreed service requires further attention, we will confirm the appropriate next step.

20. Liability

Squee:gee takes reasonable care when working around your property.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from:

  • Pre-existing damage or deterioration

  • Faulty construction or design

  • Structural defects

  • Failed coatings, finishes or seals

  • Surfaces that are unsuitable for the cleaning method because of an undisclosed or latent condition

  • Client negligence

  • Failure to follow reasonable preparation instructions

  • Failure to disclose relevant sensitive or damaged surfaces

  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law.

21. Health and safety

Squee:gee will not undertake work that we consider unsafe or that would compromise applicable health and safety requirements.

This may include work involving:

  • Unsafe access

  • Fragile structures

  • Unsafe work at height

  • Surfaces or areas that cannot reasonably be reached using our equipment

  • Conditions that place customers, the public, our team or property at unreasonable risk

Our team follows applicable New Zealand health and safety requirements and relevant WorkSafe guidance.

Squee:gee may decline, stop or reschedule work if conditions become unsafe.

22. Photography

We may take photographs of the property before, during or after the service for job documentation, quality assurance and service records.

We will not use identifiable photographs of your property for public marketing without the appropriate consent.

23. Privacy

We collect and use personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy.

Information may be used for purposes connected with providing and administering our services, including booking, customer communication, invoicing and service records.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.
