If your property sits outside our usual service area, tell us where you are when booking. If any additional travel charge applies, we will confirm it before your booking is finalised.

French panes, balustrades, extra glass-heavy homes and specialist areas need to be identified separately when booking.

Yes. Frames and sills are part of a Squee:gee Window Clean.
We clean the whole window because clear glass surrounded by dirty frames and sills does not feel properly finished.

We can provide standard Window Cleaning for new builds and recently renovated homes, but construction residue is a different type of clean.
Cement splatter, paint, silicone, adhesive, stickers and other building residue can require specialist removal techniques and carry a greater risk of scratching or damaging glass.
For significant construction cleaning, we may recommend a specialist provider. Tell us what is on the glass when enquiring and we will let you know whether the job is a good fit for Squee:gee.

Yes. Squee:gee provides Window Cleaning for selected retail and commercial properties across Auckland.
Commercial work is priced individually based on the property, access, glass volume and cleaning frequency.
For larger or ongoing commercial requirements, contact us with the property details and we will confirm whether the work suits our service model.

Yes.
Squee:gee provides both Window Cleaning and House Washing under one name, bringing the exterior-cleaning expertise previously offered through The SoftWash Company into Squee:gee.
Same ownership, same team and one place to book.

A Squee:gee House Wash takes care of the appropriate exterior cladding, eaves and exterior details included within the booked service.
Every House Wash also includes a full exterior Window Clean as standard, including exterior glass, frames and sills.
It is not simply a rinse over the windows. They are properly cleaned after the House Wash.

We clean the exterior glass, frames and sills so you are not left with freshly washed cladding and spotted windows.

Pricing & Payment

Our standard residential prices are published on the Squee:gee Pricing page.
Window Cleaning is priced primarily by home size and the service selected. House Washing is priced by the exterior size of the home. Pressure Washing pricing depends on the area being cleaned.
Most Auckland homes fit our standard pricing. If your property has significantly more glass, unusual access, specialist surfaces or other requirements outside the standard service, we will confirm any change before your booking is finalised.

Squee:gee is cashless.
Once the work is complete, your invoice will be sent through ServiceM8. Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card, with applicable card fees shown at payment.
Invoices are due within 7 days.

Because you should have a clear idea of what work on your home is going to cost before you commit.
Our published pricing covers the majority of standard residential work. Where a property falls outside those usual parameters, we review the details and confirm the price before the booking is finalised.
Clear pricing does not mean forcing every property into the same box. It means making the price and any exceptions clear upfront.

Most residential properties fit our upfront pricing, but some need a closer look.
Things that may affect pricing include:
Significantly more glass than expected for the home size
Extensive French panes or balustrades
Difficult or restricted access
Specialist or fragile surfaces
Heavy or unusual build-up
Additional areas not included in the original booking
If something changes the expected price, we will confirm it before the booking is finalised.

Yes.
Published Squee:gee residential prices include GST.

Ordinary tap water contains dissolved minerals and impurities that can leave spots behind when the water dries.
Our pure-water system filters those impurities out before the water reaches your windows.
We use a water-fed brush to loosen dirt and grime from the exterior glass, frames and sills, then rinse thoroughly with purified water. Because the minerals have been removed, the windows can be left to dry naturally without the spotting normally associated with untreated tap water.

For many high exterior windows, we use extendable carbon-fibre water-fed poles that allow our team to clean safely from ground level.
The system lets us reach many residential windows up to around three levels high without leaning ladders against your home.
Access, building design and obstacles such as pergolas can affect what we can safely reach. If anything unusual applies to your property, let us know when booking.

Many tinted and coated windows can be cleaned, but films and specialist coatings vary.
Tell us about tinted, coated or specialist glass when booking so we can choose an appropriate cleaning method and avoid using anything that could damage the surface.

For easily accessible glass, you absolutely can.
Where Squee:gee becomes useful is when you want the whole window taken care of, including frames, sills and tracks, or when height, access and larger areas of glazing make the job harder to manage yourself.
Our equipment also allows us to safely reach many upper-level exterior windows from the ground.

Once exterior glass has been scrubbed and thoroughly rinsed using purified water, we leave it to dry naturally.
Because the dissolved minerals that cause ordinary water spotting have been filtered out, the glass does not need to be manually dried after the final rinse.

Clean glass and perfect glass are not always the same thing.
Window Cleaning removes material sitting on the surface. It cannot reverse hard-water etching, scratches, failed glazing seals, damaged coatings or permanent staining.
If we see something that appears to be damage rather than ordinary dirt, we will let you know.

There is no perfect schedule for every Auckland home.
As a general guide, many homes suit two to four Window Cleans each year. Homes with coastal exposure may benefit from more frequent cleaning because salt accumulates more quickly on the glass and frames.
Window Cleaning

Soft Washing is a low-pressure exterior cleaning method that uses a cleaning solution to help break down mould, algae, dirt and organic grime before the surface is gently rinsed.
It allows us to clean many home exterior surfaces without relying on unnecessary pressure.

Because your house exterior and your driveway are different surfaces.
Many painted finishes, weatherboards and cladding systems are better suited to lower-pressure cleaning.
Soft Washing lets the cleaning solution do more of the work, while Pressure Washing is reserved for harder surfaces that can tolerate greater force.
The Squee:gee standard is to use the right method for the surface, not simply the strongest one available.

Our Soft Washing process uses sodium hypochlorite together with a biodegradable house-wash surfactant.
The mixture and application are adjusted according to the surface, condition and level of build-up we are cleaning.
The cleaning solution is what allows us to work at lower pressure rather than relying on force alone.

We take precautions around vegetation before and during House Washing.
Plants and surrounding areas are appropriately pre-wet and rinsed as part of the cleaning process.
Property preparation and protection are part of the service, not something we leave until after cleaning begins.

No.
Squee:gee does not provide House Washing for cedar homes due to the additional risks and specialist maintenance requirements associated with cedar.
We recommend using a provider specialising in cedar cleaning and maintenance.

House Washing removes dirt, mould, algae and other surface build-up. It cannot repair faded paint, failing coatings, oxidation, permanent staining, damaged cladding or existing deterioration.
Sometimes cleaning makes existing wear easier to see because the build-up that was covering it has been removed.

There is no single schedule for every Auckland home.
Coastal exposure, shade, vegetation, surrounding trees and the rate at which mould or algae return can all affect how frequently the exterior needs attention.

House Washing & Soft Washing

Pressure Washing is suited to tougher hard surfaces such as concrete driveways, paths, patios, courtyards and other appropriate exterior surfaces.
We assess the material and condition before deciding how much pressure is appropriate.

Soft Washing combines low pressure with a cleaning solution and is used for many appropriate house exterior surfaces.
Pressure Washing uses greater water pressure and is better suited to harder surfaces such as concrete and paving.
You do not need to decide which method your property needs. Tell us what needs cleaning and we will choose the appropriate approach.

Too much pressure, or pressure used on an unsuitable material, can cause damage.
That is why Squee:gee does not simply use maximum pressure everywhere. We assess the surface and adjust the cleaning method accordingly.

Yes.
If you also want your driveway, paths, patio or courtyard cleaned, include those areas when booking your House Wash and we can take care of more of the exterior in the same visit.

We confirm the booking. Where the property fits our standard service and pricing, we can move ahead. If anything needs a closer look, we will contact you first.
Before the visit, you will receive the relevant confirmation and preparation information through ServiceM8.

Preparation depends on the service you have booked.
For Window Cleaning, we generally need clear access to the windows and ask that fragile items are removed from sills.
For House Washing, windows and doors need to be closed, outdoor areas should be accessible and movable or fragile items should be cleared where practical.

For most exterior-only services, no.
If we have the access we need around the property and you have completed any required preparation, the team can generally complete exterior Window Cleaning, House Washing or Pressure Washing without you being home.
For Interior Window Cleaning, we need access inside while that part of the service is being completed.

Usually a few things.
We ask that there is clear access to the areas being cleaned and that fragile or valuable items are moved out of the work area.
For Interior Window Cleaning, please clear breakables from window sills and provide reasonable access to the glass.
For House Washing and Pressure Washing, movable outdoor furniture, pot plants and other items should be moved away from the areas being cleaned where practical.
If something large or heavy is difficult to move, let us know.

Light rain does not automatically stop exterior cleaning.
What matters is whether the conditions allow the booked work to be completed safely and properly.
If the weather is not suitable for your service, we will contact you and confirm what happens next.

Rain itself is not usually what makes clean windows dirty.
Visible spotting after rain is often caused by dirt, dust, salt or other residue already sitting on the glass or surrounding surfaces.
Properly cleaned glass does not suddenly become dirty simply because clean rainwater lands on it.

Window Cleaning is generally quiet.
House Washing and Pressure Washing use pumps and other purpose-built equipment, so there will be some operational noise while those services are underway.
If noise or timing is particularly important at your property, let us know when booking.
